I had to stop. This book has potential and I probably would have stuck with it but for the horrible accents the voice performer chose to utilize, which were terrible and inconsistent. At first I thought Nick was from Boston, then I thought he transitioned into Linda from Coffee Talk, and finally I just decided that I couldn’t take it anymore. Frankly the accent is a turn off which is not what you want in a romance book. And don’t get me wrong it is not a Brooklyn accent that is the turn off it this way off the mark, inauthentic facsimile of a Brooklyn accent that is ultimately repulsive.
