The storyline seemed jumbled, the repeative nature of the “sorry”, from all of the characters became grating, the over emphasis on female empowerment (of which I’m usually a fan), seemed artificial, the attempt to make flawed, yet “deep”, characters was so blatant it was annoying, the “villan”, and attempts to make him sympathetic, was textbook, and the narrator, while not bad, didn’t seem to fit the part of the “empowed” female characters. Overall, it was just okay. I usually love a good series, but I’m not all that interested in reading the follow-up books.
