The books depicted a true dystopian future without electricity, fuel or food. What it also depicted was how violent people can become when they are hungry or in revenge for a death of a family member. Also, how tyrannical people can get and tribal once law and order is not there. I am preparing my to go bag today with plenty of ammunition.
