If you want a better book in every way, go read the Harry Dresden series. After all, the Dresden Files was clearly the source material for this watered down knock off. The sheer amount of blatant “borrowing” just blew my mind. Even with all that great material in hand, this book still sucks. The narrator did not help. Dude- you can breath between words, its not a contest to see how fast you can get through it, its not Gilmore Girls. Skip this one
