the previous books in the series won me over with the endearing characters and an upbeat story that kept me company while I did house chores. this book takes a series that is previously been lighthearted and inspirational and turns it depressing and stomach churning. if the overarching plot of the book had made any sense whatsoever it may have been excusable but in the end only blind chance, not any choice in the characters part, brings the book to a conclusion.
