Main characters are delightful, mystery is interesting, secondary characters are well written, and time, place, and social class are convincingly represented–with the exception of a weird use of “beg my pardon” at the beginning that almost put me off bc I was worried that it indicated the kind of writer that makes one continually edit in one’s head. I’m glad I kept listening! Btw, the bedroom scenes are adorable, and the narration is well done.
