Another fantastic book by Cross. What is supposed to be a getaway for Kat and Jace, ends up finding out about her best friend, Gia’s new love interest. As Jace and Kat miss their ride to the Island, where Jace is writing a story about BrotherXII and how millions of people where swindled out of their money, time and even lives, Gia’s new boyfriend, Rafael, says that he will be happy to take them to the island on his yacht. Rafael has the gift of gab and appears well off and treats Gia like a queen, but Jat has her suspicions and thinks he is not all he is cracked up to be. After doing some research on the yacht and a news story about a little girl and her mother, who were both found in the ocean, dead….Kats starts piecing the picture together.
Narration is once again, on point and love how she does the voices for each character
