Very disappointed in classifying this as SciFi&Fantasy / Fantasy when, in fact, it should more appropriately have been classified SciFi&Fantasy / LGBT

A tiring mashup of Ready Player One+5, Friends, Nightmare On Elm Street

The author crafted well-written prose and the actual game play was above average as litRPG novels go. It was especially pleasing to find that the author didn’t fall prey to including innumerable amounts of stat updates. However, it was clear that the author was also interested in making the novel edgy what with constant interpersonal erotic interactions, subtle but obvious LGBT allusions with the Fairy character being a male in the real world acting like a female in the virtual world and being upset with the male virtual characters objectifying his/her body. There was so much attention paid to the MCs personal feelings that the novel became too high-maintenance and a bit too woke that it was a constant detraction from the flow and sense of purpose for the game quest.
