I got all 4 of the books in this series for free, so I did finish reading them. The story lines were actually not bad. But I agree with almost every single review, that the narrator was hideous. At times, he did just read parts of the story and that was fine. If he had done the books all that way, I could have given between a 4 and 5 star review.
But by the end, I swore if I heard the word “dippity” instead of deputy one more time I would have screamed. And he made so many of the characters just sound totally stupid. I have lived in the panhandle of Florida for a time, and never once heard anyone sound like he made these people in the story sound…
