The story is good with a few unforeseen twists along the way. Main character is well developed and stays “within character”
Throughout the book. The narrator seems to have adopted (at least for this book) a version of a “1930s hard-bitten gumshoe” voice which at first was funny, then became annoying, and finally dulled after a few hours’ listening to tolerable. Overall an enjoyable book despite the narration. Will probably try another one from this author but will check to see if narrator and/style is the same – if so, will likely give it a miss.
