There are some decent scenes and some unbelievable ones as well. Being trapped in a hotel in Vegas during and after an earthquake isn’t anywhere you want to be. Escaping was decently described with some moments of “yeah, right”.
The characters are interesting, but a bit naive and unwilling to accept their situation well. There are some pretty convenient scenarios as well, but not at all likely.
Overall the book is entertaining, but certainly not a template for how to get through a disaster.
Kevin Pierce does his usual bang up job of narrating a number of characters.
