It’s your standard dystopian book, but it is well written. I was so glad, that it didn’t matter that there was nothing new in it. I feel lucky just to have found a decent book to listen to.
The book does have the problem of many dystopian books. Like in this one 96% of the population has died but in the first week people are having problems finding food, water, and gas. And their clothing may be frayed and most people have become feral. Maybe this would happen after a couple of years for gas and people, and a decade for food and water, that is if you couldn’t find the spam or MRE factory. But you just have to accept that falousy, and consider at least a couple of years have passed if you want to enjoy the book.
