So this series was never a wonderful work of literature. It was a fun little romp through goblin town. I gave up hope on feigning quality when the MC professed his love for Tika in book 2. Really Shemer? Is that what love is to you? Rescuing an LD damsel in distress, spending zero time or effort building a relationship her, magically making her sexy but still mentally deficient, then banging her every night and then ditching her during the day? What the hell is your marriage like? Maybe you grew up with bad role-models.

Anyway BESIDES that gaping reality hole, I enjoyed most of these books Hahahahahah! Leveling is fun, building villages is fun, and Schemer does a great job with that! What Schemer needs… is a good editor that understands the genre. A good editor can point out little things like misogyny and nip it in the bud. A good editor will encourage better endings that don’t end in dumpster fire reviews.

S.H.I.V.A. was totally unnecessary for this book. The final attack was well planned and could have simply ended in them escaping successfully! Sometimes the easy answer is the best answer. These aren’t winning any literary awards bub! They’re for fun!

Last thing… I liked the sfx! Though Rastia… you suck. ??
