If you like GURP’s with plot holes. this is your book. It’s a fun but confusing story. In this universe, it’s perfectly acceptable for superheroes to be hunted, tortured, and sold into slavery with the consent of the government. Felix has the crummy power to enhance anything he owns a little each day beginning at midnight. By a twist of fate, Felix unexpectedly purchases three tortured and almost-dead superheroes and discovers he can repair and enhance this property too. Besides state sponsored slavery, my biggest complaint is the obvious AD&D worksheet upgrading the story devolves into. How many points does it cost to enhance or transform someone while reading through a boring character sheet? I endured the story because the individual characters were fun and the dialogue was humorous (e.g. “pancakes!) But the ending left me with a feeling of “so that’s it?”
