Overall I did like this book and I thought the narration was great. I’m not sure if it’s just me getting used to faster narration, but for the longest time I would listen on 1x, and recently I’ve been listening at 1.15 or 1.2. This one I had to listen at 1.3 because I just thought the pace was a little slow but other than that, I thought it was great. Sarah and Jason are industry favorites and I don’t think I’ve ever listened to a book I didn’t enjoy narrated by them.

Let’s talk about Arrow and Salem… Arrow grew up only knowing perfection. He got the perfect grades, he was the best soccer player, he had the perfect girlfriend, he followed all the rules. He had his whole future set up for him. Until suddenly he finds himself in a situation where his whole world is turned upside down. He’s lost his spot on the team, he’s being shipped back to his hometown to coach the soccer team at his mom’s all girls reform school, and his girlfriend…well, let’s just say she’s not so perfect. Now he’s got all this pent up anger and frustration from years of masking perfection all the time, and needs an outlet.

Salem is obsessed with Arrow. Pining after him for 8 years. She has fallen in love with him right along with her sister. She vowed to never interfere with her sister and his relationship but now that things are strained between them, and he needs a rebound girl, that can be her right? She can allow him to use her body to let out his pent up frustration and anger with letting her emotions get in the way, right?
