I actually liked this quite a bit. psychological scarring on mc didn’t disappoint. *minor spoiling below*
I was suspecting him to go down the straight and narrow with how he acted in beginning of story, but things continued to get darker. like the part where *spoiler* ended up killing the soldier who pleaded for his life. Dante has had a super rough life and dealing with loss and betrayal through story only continued to chip away at his psych. I like dark mcs though I do like a bit of redemption as an mc gets to end of series. If another book comes out I’ll be sure to pick it up right away.
