This is a short but sweet second chance romance. Lucas and Maddy grew up together and Maddy always knew she’d marry Lucas. When they hit high school, their paths went different directions and it took Lucas a while to find his way home. When he did though, he realized his past mistakes and that Maddy was it for him. I fell in love with the Lucas who returned to town and cheered him on as he made Maddy see the man he’d become. He was a great book boyfriend! It was a shorter read and I really enjoyed it.
The narrator did a good job and made me fall head over heals with Lucas!
