This was my first story by Sharon Buchbinder, and the book appears late in the series, but can be read as standalone. I never felt lost as to who the characters were or their relationships to one another.
It was entertaining to watch a man of science adjust to a world of magic as he falls in love with a water nymph. I liked the variety of paranormal beings in the story — from shifters to nymphs to leprechauns.
The magical talking cats and their antics were cute, but I think I’m glad I don’t have to live with them. 🙂 The story was a fast-paced, light-hearted easy read with happily-ever-afters for everyone.
Rebecca Winder was a fun narrator, and a good choice for the story.
