I’ve read fanfiction that’s deeper than this story. It started off great. Premise was great. But it resolved without any conflict. The big bad mage the dragon was so terrified of that he’d escaped, never showed up or caused any issues. And the whole guess we’re gonna get married and live happily ever after ending was so quickly reached without any conflict that it all just felt boring, like a high schooler who never learned about rising conflict in any literature class. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a cute, feel good story. If any kind of stress or conflict bothers you, and you just want a safe romance where all the right things are said and nothing will go wrong and the fiction ends in marriage and talk about future babies then, this is for you. Otherwise, maybe look elsewhere. On the plus side, the narrator was fine, so there’s that.
