This was predictable from start to finish. A headstrong female lead overcoming expectations dealing with an overbearing parent. Even the fact that she comes from ill-gotten wealth did not make her interesting at all. Even the way her supposed area of strength was written did not make her unique. The story is a far cry from the quality writing that is to be expected from the Curvy Girls series. The narrative is paradoxical bordering on tiresome in its predictability. Ronan as a victim of domestic violence was just about the only thing that made this book interesting but unfortunately, it fell short in fleshing out Ronan as something else other than a motorcycle-riding bad boy. For a character that could have had so much depth only to be pigeon-holed into a miscreant and a devil without a cause type was an absolute letdown.
