I just want to start this off by saying these books are not REALLY stand-alones. You need to read the first 4 Curl Up & Dye books to be able to actually appreciate these three. The third book could be read alone but the side characters & world building make a whole lot more sense when youā€™ve read the other books first. Thereā€™s also some spoilers for the Curl Up & Dye books, so definitely better to read those first.

Unscripted Love: I love Chaz & Kyle with my entire heart. Itā€™s really nice that we get to look back on their moments in the background of the Curl Up & Dye books & see what really happened from their point of view. It reads more like someone narrating past events for the first half of the book, but I still loved seeing their story & how they came together in the end.

Someone to Call My Own: This one made me ugly cry šŸ˜. The raw emotions youā€™re made to feel on behalf of Emory & John are so real. Their story is probably one of the more realistic romances Iā€™ve read. The heartbreak, frustration, anger, trauma, love, & forgiveness were so powerful. I couldnā€™t have asked for a better story for these two.

Nobodyā€™s Prince Charming: These two were just adorable. This book is very much just a feel good, make you cry type book. You can still feel RENā€™s trauma present in the background but itā€™s not the main focus & he doesnā€™t let it get in the way of his feelings for Dar. Yes thereā€™s a little angst in the beginning but once they finally really look at each other, thereā€™s no big conflict they have to battle before getting together. Itā€™s quite literally a fairy tale romance & itā€™s the perfect break you need after reading the other two coupleā€™s stories & riding that emotional rollercoaster.

Basically 10/10 across the board, highly recommend ā¤ļø
