Cozy mysteries are my new favorite weekend reads. Cruel Candy features Fred (Winifred) and Corgi sleuth Watson who stumble into the scene of a murder in the space Fred has leased to house her bookstore.
Fred is drawn into the investigation when her relative comes under suspicion. She rediscovers small town life as she seeks to exonerate the accused.
Narrator: There was nothing conspicuous about this narration, which is in my estimation is goal of the audio.
Great story, great listen.
