Creative storyline, but disappointing narration.

I listen to a lot of military scfi, and this is a very creative storyline. There’s some corny stuff, but it’s original, and there’s more character development, (which I like), than there is in many books of this genre. I look forward to books 2 and 3.

The reader is the one fairly big problem. He has a depressing way of speaking that really gets old. And there’s no good speed to listen, because he’s not consistent in pacing. The book was good enough to listen to, despite the reader.
