I marked the book down to a 4 bra cause of the incorrect (lack of research) stereotype about coyotes. There is an incident where a pack of coyotes attacks several people at once and aggressively pursue the attack with multiple bites. This all happens in the apocalypse where the countryside is littered with dead human bodies on which the coyotes could freely gorge themselves. Starving coyotes MIGHT attack humans. Well fed coyotes? Nope. Otherwise an outstanding story and performance!
