Let me start with the fact that the narrator is no RC Bray or anyone else of sufficient quality. Enough said on that because so many others have already covered how bad he is at pronouncing anything military or some of the names.
On to the book, the MC starts out okay, but then he doesn’t learn anything and constantly demands on luck to survive. This damaged the book’s quality and all it’s good points. You can’t just survive being betrayed and go right back to allow the next enemy to survive just to let them betray you again and again and again. This is a problem, good thing I only spend one credit, I won’t be buying book 10 because of this problem. The other issue is thinking the cannibals are regular human and should be treated the same way even almost 6 months in that’s crazy, so yeah that’s just crazy and it blows my mind.
Finally I say it’s worth a listen, but no more than 1 credit.
