22 chapters in and I had to give up. The cotton mouth narration could be forgiven if the book went anywhere. The author seems to think putting characters into increasingly awkward, embarrassing, illegal situations that they do absolutely nothing about is an adequate replacement for character development. More than mm halfway through the book and I couldn’t care less about a single character, but there has been plenty of juvenile scene setting with talk about erections and *gasp* blood in food!
