The concept of this is great. I think it would’ve been much better had it been combined with other ideas. It starts strong with the first chapter but by chapter 6, it is very repetitive. The horror doesn’t have enough buildup between moments, and it feels like once you heard about one monster, there wasn’t much point in hearing about another. Each monster interaction did not add to the story and it feels a bit like a kid adding as many gross things as they can think of after a while. It was narrated well – I feel a lot of parts that would sound fine in your head would sound awkward if you said them aloud, but they made it sound very natural.
