I bought this for our flight from east to west coast. I made it through the 1st three books (the 3rd one just barely) and about 10 min of the last one. My biggest problem with the books is the villain characters. They are so absurd and unrealistic along with being very predictable. None of them would have made it 2 days in a real SHTF situation, much less be able to do any of the stuff in the book. The only reason they (the villains) last so long is the people they run into are even dumber than they are. The narration was ok, which is why I probably lasted so long.
