I have rarely bailed out of listening or reading a book but this one is too painful. I had read other reviews saying it started slow. That is an understatement. I am half way through and just can’t take it any longer. The hero of the story is someone I want to die in hopes of finding another character that I can buy into. This story could have had so much potential given the world we live in today but the authors way over descriptions and length rambling simply have taken too much of the book to establish a premise. I kept listening chapter after chapter expecting that now we have the premise, but halfway through and all I know is the psychological musings of the author as he writes in first person for the lead character. My advice; don’t waste your time or start in the middle of the book. You won’t miss much and I’m pretty confident any missed points will be explained over and over again.
