After listening to a few chapters to give it the benefit of the doubt, I had to stop. Although the plot from the reviews sounded interesting and the prologue was intriguing, the story was incredibly boring. As someone else mentioned, the characters were incredibly stereotyped and mostly shallow. Rich suburban housewife PTA mothers, whiny children, and poor narration to emphasize the boring stories. The narration for the Black characters was terrible and sounded like a White woman trying to sound Black by using some slang. Simply awful.
