I know that I am in the minority. I could not accept the basic premise of the story. There is an explosion somewhere off in the ocean and the only real damage it causes is a loss of power. Within two hours complete chaos envelopes the town/nation? and lawlessness prevails. I can’t believe that within two hours of not having power people are willing to kill strangers for food. It it seems ridiculous to me. Also many of the decisions that were made by the family seemed unbelievable
