Is there anything you would change about this book?
While the characters have more depth than some other space-opera books I have read, there is not much variety in the characterization.
What didn’t you like about Jeffrey Kafer’s performance?
Macho male characters are almost indistinguishable from his narration voice. Non-macho male characters pretty much all sound like the same young man. Female characters sound the same as the non-macho male characters. The only time you can tell much of a difference between characters, is when he decides to give them a bit of an accent.
Any additional comments?
Not as good as the first book in the series, but still good enough to finish it. If Jeffrey Kafer is going to be the narrator though, I will likely skip the audio books for the rest of the series.
