Started out really interesting. A nice change of pace for the genre to have a protagonist that has to put thought and effort into building a village. Unfortunately the author couldn’t resist his fetish for torture porn and ignores the entire premise he has set up of this being a game to get his jollies off in the end. Combine that with the typical short sighted cliche of trying to create a character that is simultaneously super powerful but somehow challenged by every encounter and you are left with a plot equivalent to some nice pieces of cloth sewn together with thread made of belly button lint and pubic hair.
