okay that’s not entirely true the protagonist is really smart sometimes but this book does this ridiculous nonsense that so many books do where and intelligent protagonist all of a sudden becomes a complete f****** idiot just because the author can’t think of a better way to move the plot forward.

if you can’t write a smart character who’s smart all the time then just don’t write a smart character for the love of God please. it’s like reading a book with two separate main characters entirely.
