I will make this review short and sweet. overall enjoyed the story, though a few key things frustrated me and I wish I knew in advance before getting into this so I will say it here.

1. their is a decent amount of build up and time spent with a character that goes no where basically

2. the women protagonist irks me a lot, she is built up as this strong and headstrong person who is ground down by traditionalist ideas who you think will finally get a satisfying ending….but in the end they kind of mostly just excuse away 15 years of abuse because “she didn’t try hard enough”

it was kind of quick and unsatisfying and poor mental health is not an excuse or a reason to forgive emotional abuse for 15 years. (a time skip where they worked through it would have been more satisfying)

there is also a lot of build up to bigger things and things brought up in the past that if they never write sequel ..it’s fine, but we def need more stories in this universe to touch on these things. perhaps a prequel or side story about Robin regarding the adventures he basically info drops on her in last hour of the book. or a future store 15 years in the future with a certain girl child (you will know who when you finish it)

just feels like a lot of wasted potential to leave it where it is
