This is one of those books that sounds better as a synopsis. The main character is a male Mary Sue and the support characters simply exist as objects to be interacted with when convenient. The guy literally knows every single person he encounters in a vast wasteland personally. The story doesn’t so much progress as stumble drunkenly around knocking things over.

CT Phipps has written some great books, this isn’t one of them. Kafer is amazing as always. The scenery and world are high points of this book, everything else isn’t.
