The book starts with the murder of fifty one year old Anita Andrews. The case would remain open until many years later when DNA finally connected him to 1974 killing. Jackson outlines the murder of Michele Wallace, also in 1974, but authorities couldn’t link him until 1992 when her remains were finally located. The “not knowing” aspect of Michele’s disappearance was too much for her mother to bare, and she ultimately took her own life. “Smooth Talker” is another compelling true crime book, fascinating, sad, and gripping. For true crime fans, “Smooth Talker” one is not to be missed.
