“As Our World Falls” continues the saga of Alex Reid, his estranged wife, and foster child Ryan as they try to get back to California to reunite with their Alex and Sophia’s daughter, Elisha. However complications ensue immediately. Alex and company encounter rogue drones, and a mysterious cult like group of people who at first seem to offer protection and food. However, appearances aren’t what they seem. We see the beginnings of the rise of the cartel to feel the power vacuum left in the wake of the attacks. There’s a lot going on, and it’s hard to keep track of every single sub-plot. But if the reader just goes with the flow of the story, it’s a most enjoyable listen.
Kevin Pierce elevates everything he narrates, it doesn’t matter what the material. He’s spot on perfection every single time at bat. Looking forward to the continued saga of the Reids, and all the other characters involved in the aftermath of PA America.
