My 14 year old son helped me listen to this book and we really enjoyed the storyline and felt it was a lot of fun with its own unique twists and turns. It starts out with Carthage and his menagerie enter a competition to perform in the queen’s castle in an effort to save their business from bankruptcy. In the early stages of the auditions things quickly become deadly when a contestant is found dead… leaving suspicions that there was foul play. Between the competition and worry of sabotage or worse the story becomes more gripping.

The narrator did an incredible job with the acting, voices, accents and overall narration. He really made it a lot of fun to listen to.

As a parent reviewer I found it to be a very clean read without any overly graphic violence, no bad language or heavy romance/bedroom scenes. I would say it geared towards teens but is fine for 4th grade and up… adults will enjoy it too.
