I’ve read a couple of books on Putin this year. I have been trying to understand the more recent events in Ukraine and other former Soviet states. And while I didn’t get definitive answers, I did find that this book was written from a broader journalistic perspective and less biased than the others. And it certainly tied disparate memories over the years of the rise of Putin in to sharp focus.
