Admittedly I’d happily listen to Kevin Pierce read the alphabet, so there’s no need to say more about that. As to the story, I’m very glad that I stopped listening to Mad Mick in order to get to know Jim Powell before the two of them meet. Community is the operative word in this and the previous book. Community to come together, to support each other, do security watches and fight for each other. In this book, those things come together. Gary’s family and Randi’s family come to stay close to Jim’s family, increasing their new “tribe’s” strengths and bolstering their weaknesses. Excellent read. Franklin Horton has now permanently been entered into my personal list of favorite authors.
