This book basically picks up in the last chapter of A Burn So Sweet, only this time it’s being told from Travis’ perspective. Honestly, Travis cleared a lot of things up for me. In this book, everything isn’t as it seems. Briar faces so many problems in this book and her whole life in general. My biggest question that wasn’t answered is, why Briar? Briar and her mom are poor. Why pick Briar and her mom to use as pawns in arranged marriages? I think there’s more going on with Sawyer, Asher, Cole and Travis’ father’s. The full story of Briar’s past trauma hasn’t fully come out yet either. The guys finally give into their feelings full force and want to protect Briar. There are some very hot and spicy scenes. Specifically, the bathtub scene that involved ALL of them 🔥! I don’t like Briar’s mother or Travis’ father at all. I guess they were made for each other. What is Briar going to do with the secret her mother told her? It was pretty big! The ending was horrible, dramatic, and was a huge, huge, HUGE cliffhanger! Be prepared! I’m not quite sure these college kids know what they’re up against just yet or why. I’m looking forward to finding out. This book was very fast paced and flowed well.
