It admittedly took me the first couple of chapters to get hooked, but once I was, I couldn’t stop listening.

While the story has a few characters that it likes to focus on, there are two main characters. One character starts with a cliche origin story, and the other character halfway through says hold my beer and completely embraces the LitRPG origin trope. I want to complain about the cliche tropes, but I wouldn’t be into the LitRPG genre if it were any other way. However, I don’t know how I feel about the ending, it felt like the author was trying to force a twist that wasn’t necessary.

The audio quality seemed off to me as if there were different recording days, and the pitch randomly changes from one sentence to another. I started noticing this after halfway through, which caught me off guard since I’m usually a big fan of Soundbooth Theater and Annie Ellicott.

I’m looking forward to a sequel, but I’m a little disheartened to see the author currently doesn’t have any sequels to his books. Hopefully, this will change soon!
