Narrator was spot on, the concept was interesting, and I was genuinely intrigued by the mental evolution of a mimic… but the writing kept taking hard left turns into a 9th grader’s idea of sexuality.
Tried to power through or skip the misogyny and beasteality, but I shut the book down three quarters of the way through.
Very creative writer, but I was not interested in the voluptuous chests or how moist anyone’s “lower lips” were getting.
