“Chewed his cheek”, “was almost palpable”…SIGH..

Clichés and repetitive expressions began to ‘make me wince’…’clench my jaw’…’teeth on edge’…and other cliché expressions that express the same idea but in a different manner…like I wish the author would have attempted.

It got to the point were I nearly stopped listening because of these as they were used over and over again. I didn’t like all the cursing…but “chewed his cheek” being said so often almost made me stop listening. It was that annoying.

As others have said, the story wasn’t that interesting either. It seemed almost as if someone had played a video game…wrote the characters and events they saw on the screen…then attempted to add dialog and motivation. Mostly filler and a dungeon crawl.
