Stereo typed women, military and folks with troubled backgrounds. Few two many and drawn out rape and torture scenes. Why the need to spend a chapter developing the rapist where he repeats how everything is everyone else fault was unneeded it was like bludgeoning the reader over and over that he was a bad guy. Same feeling with all the awkward relationship building between the characters. You would get the same thing about ten times, we got it the first time. The world building was good but about 80 percent of the book was poorly written character drama .
