I loved the book. Each one of these digs down deep into our dark places. Frank has insecurities, doubts, fears. He doesn’t feel like he’s enough or that he can keep up with his powerful friends. In unity, he gets to go on his own adventure and learn about himself and his inner strength. He finds people that learn to respect him. And his dark places talk back to him. Intense, visceral, and bloody, I enjoyed this journey and found something to take away to consider in my own life. Cheap at that price. The narrator works for me. I didn’t like him much in Catharsis. But he does the books well. I think he brings out the emotion in the books well and I’ve come to appreciate the intensity, consideration, and consistency that he brings to his performances. I think this is my favorite so far. I’m having difficulty imaging what Travis Bagwell will do next to top this one.
