I was fully invested in this storyline until midway through book 3. The tough guys in the story mention a few times needing “strong men” to survive, but it takes until book 3 to get an actual mention about telling little boys they can grow up to be women. One character is no longer attracted to his partner because she’s too masculine for him. Other characters talk about how girls just say they like women for attention from men. Absolutely gross.
