Carmen has lost both her husband and unborn child four years ago. Then only reason she is still alive is because she wants revenge against the man who took them from her. When she is taken to Valdier, she trusts everything she can to return home.
Creon knows that Carmen is his true mate. He also knows that something happened to her. He tries to gently woo her.
She ends up going with him on a mission to rescue a prince from a neighboring planet. Creon is friends with him and they have to rescue him in order to avoid war.
This book is a definite tear jerker. Read this book but have tissues nearby.
I love the way the narrator does the dragon voices!
