As always, Karen Rose does not disappoint. I love that Tom Hunter is a big part of this new book and hope to see him around more in coming books.
As for the performance, it’s a testament to Rose as an author that I continued listening. The narrator was annoying at best and the first few chapters were hard to get past. Everyone sounded like a stereotypical fraternity brother or sorority sister. Maybe in book two, we can get someone like Richard Ferrone, Kaleo Griffith or Patrick Lawlor.
In the end, I am glad I stuck with it. I love that you feel like the story came full circle, but there are enough questions to keep you hungry for more.
